Kali Karnopp

I was born and raised in Kewaunee, WI where my husband and I are now raising our two children.  I started dancing at the age of 3 and continued studying ballet, jazz, and tap throughout high school.  During those four years, I was a member of the Kewaunee High School Dance Team where I won a number of awards and opportunities. Some of which were: a performance at Walt Disney World, a parade and performance in Paris, and Performer of the Year at the UPA national competition in Minneapolis. After high school I went to the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where I received a bachelor's degree in Theater and Dance. I was fortunate enough to perform in several productions while I was there and had the opportunity to work with a number of dance companies including Fosse, Doug Varone, Paul Taylor, Mary Anthony, and Ko-Thi. I was introduced to modern, African and ballroom dance while in Stevens Point as I continued my studies in ballet, jazz, and tap. I graduated from Stevens Point in 2004 and opened Kali's School of Dance in 2006.  In 2013 Kali's School of Dance moved to our very own, beautiful studio in downtown Kewaunee where we continue to work and grow.

Gemma Wright

Gemma grew up with a passion for dance that has never dwindled. She has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz from a young age. She maintained her devotion to exploring different dance forms throughout her college education and happily stumbled on many different forms: salsa, flamenco, acrobatic aerial etc performing and teaching professionally. In her classes she aims to help everyone to create a strong foundation in the basics and find a way to creatively explore movement that feels good
